Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure pitch while a person is either running or walking, and to require no operation from outside to switch conditional settings between running and walking situations.
SOLUTION: A first acceleration sensor A is installed where it can detect acceleration caused mainly by the movement of arms during walking when worn by a person, and outputs a first body motion signal to a body motion element extraction part. A second acceleration sensor B is installed where it can detect acceleration caused mainly by the movement of arms during running when worn by a person, and outputs a second body motion signal to the body motion element extraction part. These make the body motion element extraction part to extract body motion elements based on the first and the second body motion signals.
