To provide a bottle can capable of suppressing print peel at the time of necking, cap mounting and opening and its production method.SOLUTION: There is provided a bottle can manufacturing method comprising: a printing step for printing on an outer surface of a cylindrical body having a bottom part; a necking step for processing the cylindrical body after the step of printing to form a tapered part and a small diameter part; and a mouth part forming step for forming a neck part and a mouth part having a bulge part and a male threaded part bulging outward in the radial direction from the neck part by processing the small diameter part, wherein a lower part of the bulging part has a recessed part which is recessed radially inward, an enlarged diameter part which gradually increases in diameter radially outward toward an upper side in the can axis direction, and a projected part which is protruded outward in a radial direction, and in the printing step, ink is applied to a region of a cylindrical part, the tapered part, the neck part, and a lower part of the bulge part consisting of the recessed part and the enlarged diameter part, and an amount of ink applied per unit area of a first coating area which becomes the lower part of the bulge part is made smaller than an applied amount of ink per unit area of a second coated area which becomes the cylindrical part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
