Title:
BRAKE FOR REEL SUPPORTED WITH BEARINGS AT BOTH ENDS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2001017044
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To enable a second moving member to smoothly move even in a state that the second moving member is into contact with a taper-shaped surface in a reel brake.

A brake mechanism 23 for a reel supported with bearings at both ends is equipped with a taper-shaped surface 45, a first moving member 46, a second moving member 47, a coil spring 48 and a braking means 49. The surface 45 is the inner surface of a spool 12 in which the distance from a spool shaft 16 becomes longer as going outward from the rotating shaft, and has a friction-adjusting member 44 on a region contacting with the member 47. The member 46 interlocks with the spool. The member 47 is attached to the member 46 so as to be able to contact with the surface 45 and moves the member 46 outward from the rotating shaft when the member comes into contact with the surface 45 by centrifugal force. The coil spring 48 energizes the member 46 inward toward the rotating shaft. The braking means 49 brakes the spool 12 by the movement of the member 46.
