Abstract:
To provide a technique that avoids concentration of a horizontal force on a high-rigidity structure, planar eccentricity, and generation of a large fluctuating axial force on a seismic isolation device while eliminating the need for excessive reinforcement, and enables seismic isolation of the entire building including the high-rigidity structure.SOLUTION: There is provided a building in which a part of a building skeleton 1 is a high-rigidity structure 2 having higher rigidity than surrounding building skeletons 1A and 1B and which includes a seismic isolation layer 5 in which a plurality of seismic isolation devices 51 and 52 are arranged. An upper layer 2U of the high-rigidity structure 2 is fixed to the surrounding building skelton 1A. A lower portion 2L of the high-rigidity structure 2 is supported by the seismic isolation device 52 independently of the surrounding building skelton 1B in a state where it is separated from the surrounding building skelton 1B.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
