Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve productivity of a valve body, to miniaturize the valve body, and to simplify a molding die, by making the valve body through a process of integrally connecting divided bodies made of sintered alloy materials by a steel infiltration method.
CONSTITUTION: Uniformly mixed powder is put in a molding die, and two upper and lower divided bodies of a valve body 11 are respectively molded by a press machine. After that, the lower body 31A and the upper body 31B in the non- sintered state are superimposed. Next, the superimposed and non-sintered upper body 31A and the lower body 31B and infiltration materials are put in a heating furnace, and a copper infiltration treatment is simultaneously applied with the sintering treatment. Therefor, the secondary machining for cutting a gas passage surface in the valve body 11 and for cutting a bearing inserting hole, a seal member attaching hole, etc., can be decreased, productivity is improved, and the reduction of cost can be achieved. Moreover, since the size precision is high, there is no excess thickness, and the valve body 11 can be made small and lightweight.
