To provide a camera that is further improved in the latitude of design.
A light-intercepting blade section 410 includes a pair of light-intercepting blades (upper first light-intercepting blade 8 and lower first light-intercepting blade 6) which are located in front of the other pair of light-intercepting blades and run toward them; and the other pair of light-intercepting blades (upper second light-intercepting blade 9 and lower second light-intercepting blade 7). By reducing the number of light-intercepting blades, a light-intercepting device 400 in the direction of its optical axis can be made thinner than those of conventional light-intercepting devices. This leaves more space in the direction of the optical axis of a photographic optical path 301 and improves the flexibility in design of the electronic camera 100.
