Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy-to-assemble, relatively low-cost and easy-to-install device for monitoring tension of a moving web, composed of a cantilever installation distortion beam member rigidly connected to a bendable end of a support shaft for a web support guide roll.
SOLUTION: This transducer having two beams provided with distortion gauges in bending points of the beams is connected to a shaft supporting a moving web. The distortion gauges are disposed and electrically connected to measure a radial force applied to the shaft by the web not depending on a length of the shaft.
