Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve rigidity in a structure with high design freedom where an inner panel is constituted by folding a body side panel inside of a car body from its halfway and an outer panel constituting a car body outer plate is provided for its outside.
SOLUTION: This car body structure can improve rustproof performance, watertight performance, and fitting accuracy and provide lightness by reducing overlapping parts of outer plate components using one back-and-forth long body side panel 4 as a member constituting a closed cross section of a side wall of a car body. A front end of a reinforce 7 for improving the rigidity of a pillar is facingly jointed with a displacement part 4a provided between a portion for functioning as an outer panel of the body side panel 4 and a portion for functioning as an inner panel. Thus, a simple change of the structure can improve the rigidity of the car body.
