Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3911217
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a catalyst and to provide a process for using the same whereby the need for additional reaction zones is avoided.
SOLUTION: A hydroconversion catalyst is effective in hydrodesulfurizing a supplied raw material while preserving octane number of the supplied raw material, and comprises a carrier and a metal active phase supported on the carrier. The carrier comprises a mixture of zeolite and alumina, which zeolite has an Si/Al ratio of 1 to 20, and the metal active phase comprises a first metal selected from the elements of the group 6 of the periodic table, a second metal selected from the elements of the group consisting of the groups 8, 9 and 10 of the periodic table, and a third element selected from the elements of the group 15 of the periodic table.
