Abstract:
To provide a CD8T cell activation-inhibiting agent, and a therapeutic agent for rheumatism and a DNA vaccine for treating rheumatism.
The CD8T cell activation-inhibiting agent comprises a Jagged 1 gene or a Jagged 1 protein. The CD8T cell activation-inhibiting agent inhibits activation of a CD8T cell and accordingly makes prevention or treatment of rheumatism possible. Preferably, the gene above is particularly a structural gene in an extracellular region of the Jagged 1 protein. Preferably, a recombinant vector having the structural gene inserted therein is used as the DNA vaccine.
