Abstract:
PURPOSE: To use only one kind of the monitor and to reduce the cost by mass- production by providing an expansion terminal and a changeover circuit to the monitor and connecting plural monitors in cascade through the setting of the changeover circuit.
CONSTITUTION: The monitor is provided with a changeover circuit 12 having expansion terminals 10-1 to 10-4 and connecting an input of a delay circuit 3 switchingly to a detection output of a cell detection circuit or the 1st expansion terminal 10-1 and with an address filter 13 selecting a specific group of a VPI(Virtual Path Identifier) between inputs of the changeover circuit 12 and the delay circuit 3, with an OR circuit 14 receiving an output of a comparison discrimination circuit 6 and a signal of the 3rd expansion terminal 10-3 as inputs and whose output is connected to a discrimination output terminal 7, and an output of the changeover circuit 12 is connected to the 2nd expansion terminal 10-2. Then the plural expansion terminals 10-1 to 10-3 of the cell traffic monitors are connected together and a specific group of the VPI selected by each address filter 13 is set differently.
