A centrifugal separator 1 includes: a rotator 3 having a cylindrical rotation body 3a, an upper bottom portion 15 for blocking an upper end of the rotator body 3a, and an opening portion 11 provided at a lower end of the rotator body 3a, with the opening portion being directed 11 downward; a suspension liquid discharging mechanism portion 7 for discharging a suspension liquid including a plurality of components having different specific gravities into an inner space 4 of the rotator 3; a rotation mechanism portion 8 having a rotation shaft 19 coupled to the upper bottom portion 15 and a driving motor 22 for rotating the rotator 3 about the rotation shaft, and generating centrifugal force in the inner space 4; a device body 10 having a storage space 9 including the rotator 3 inside; and a liquid collecting portion 12 for collecting the liquid components discharged from the opening portion 11 into the storage space 9 by self-weight.
