Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a new cephalosporin compound having a specific structure, useful as a production raw material for various cephalosporin-type antibiotic substances and acting as an excellent substrate for cephalosporin C acylase.
CONSTITUTION: This compound of the formula I (R is hydroxymethyl or acetoxymethyl) is reacted with a cultured product of a microorganism capable of converting the compound of the formula I into the compound of the formula II (e.g. Pseudomonas diminuta FERM BP-3046) or its treated product to obtain a 7-aminocephalosporin compound of the formula II or its salt.
