Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a rotor disk having light weight and excellent corrosion resistance, etc., and free from the defects of conventional rotor disk made of iron.

CONSTITUTION: The objective ceramic rotor disk is produced by sintering alumina, silicon nitride, sialon or silicon carbide powder having a purity of ≥99% and particle size of ≤1μm to a sintering density of ≥98.5%. The rotor disk has high strength, extremely light weight and excellent friction performance and abrasion resistance. It has high hardness, scratch resistance and excellent corrosion resistance and durability. It is effective for reducing the weight of a disk brake mechanism of automobile.
