Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chaff storage silo so designed that the underside of a vertically installed chaff housing chamber is provided with a pressure cushioning chamber having a floor of area greater than that of the cross section of the chaff storage silo so as not to develop a bridge near a silo sidewall and enable reserved chaffs to be discharged completely.
SOLUTION: This chaff storage silo is so designed that the underside of a vertically installed chaff storage silo 25 is provided with a pressure cushioning chamber 26 having a floor 30 of area greater than that of the cross section of the chaff storage silo 25; wherein it is preferable that the pressure cushioning chamber 26 is provided with a roof 27 with a gradient gentler than the angle of repose of the chaff and a door accessible for relevant operator(s) and also the chaff storage silo 25 is provided with a plurality of peepholes.
