This character processing device is provided with an input means 10 inputting an optional character, a dictionary part 40 storing dictionary data, a correction means 21 correcting the optional character inputted by the input means 10, a determination means 22 determining whether the character matching that corrected by the correction means 21 is included in the dictionary part 40 or not, and a display means 50 displaying an optional character inputted by the input means 10 and the character determined to be included in the dictionary part 40 by the determination means 22.
