To provide a choke device whose operation is automated by a simple and inexpensive configuration.
A choke device having a choke valve 13 provided in an engine intake channel 11 comprises a centrifugal force sensitive member 40 provided in an engine rotation part 30 so as to be rotated at operation for being displaced from a first position to a second position according to increase of the centrifugal force derived from rise of the engine speed, a driving force transmitting member 50 interlocked with the choke valve for moving the choke valve into a closed state by being pressed by the centrifugal force sensitive member in the case the centrifugal force sensitive member is rotated at the first position and for passing the centrifugal force sensitive member in the case the centrifugal force sensitive member is rotated at the second position, an urging means for urging the choke valve in a direction to shift it into an opened state, and choke valve opening operation delaying means 110, 120 for generating resistance against the shift operation of the choke valve to the opened state by the urging means for delaying the time when the opened state is assumed.
