To perform program check by a simple configuration in a short time at a low cost by using check data for checking whether a monitoring program is normal or not when various types of monitoring data of a circuit breaker is monitored by the monitoring program.
A monitoring system of a circuit breaker comprises a circuit breaker 8 connected with a cable way 7, and a central monitor 21 which communicates with the circuit breaker 8 and monitors the monitoring data, e.g. set value data of interruption characteristics or alarm set value data of the circuit breaker 8, and measurement data of voltage, current, or the like, measured on the cable way by using a monitoring program. Check data for checking whether the monitoring program is normal or not is stored in a nonvolatile memory 16 of the circuit breaker 8, and the monitoring program is checked by running the stored check data.
