PURPOSE: To reduce vibration and noise without aggravating manufacturing and assembling performance by connecting compressor elements to each other by a connecting member, in a position spaced by the fixed distance from a fitting frame.

CONSTITUTION: A closed type compressor is provided with a fitting frame 12 laid horizontally in a vertical type closed case 11. A pair of vertical type compressor elements 13a, 13b are supported parallel on this fitting frame 12. The compressor elements 13a, 13b are respectively provided with motor-driven element parts 14a, 14b at the lower parts and compression element parts 15a, 15b at the upper parts. In this case, the compressor elements 13a, 13b are connected to each other by a connecting member 19, in a position spaced by the fixed distance L from the fitting frame 12. The compressor elements 13a, 13b are thereby made into rigid structure fixed at plural places including the support part by the fitting frame 12, and also vibration is absorbed mutually between the compressor elements 13a, 13b.
