Abstract:
To provide a coated wire cooling method and a coated wire cooling device which can spray coat fluid cooling medium intensively and without waste on a running high-temperature coated wire after resin coating by an extruder, thereby lowering an amount of use of the fluid cooling medium and downsizing of a fluid cooling medium circulation device.
In the coated wire cooling method of cooling the running high-temperature coated wire 21 after resin coating by the extruder 22, cooling water is sprayed in a mist state on the coated wire 21 by spraying nozzles 13A to 13E, 13A' to 13E' by forming a slender shape as a spray coating cross section shape extended slenderly along the coated wire 21.
