Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating method for material flow onto a support material which enables a uniform coating to be attained when a rotary material mound is to be formed.SOLUTION: A coater comprises a roll 1 (gap-forming element B), a roll 2 (gap-forming element A), and a roll 3. A material to be coated is guided to a gap 4 between the rolls 1 and 2 by a feeder 6, and dammed in front of the roll gap. A rotary material mound 8 is formed on the roll 1 by the rotation of the roll 2 relative to the roll 1 with the result that the material is gradually conveyed from the rotary material mound 8 into the gap or through the gap. An approach region of the gap 4 which can be blocked with the material mound 8 is demarcated by both side demarcator 7. The material can be succeeded by the roll 2 and applied onto the support material mounted on the surface of the roll 3 in the roll gap 5.
