PURPOSE:To execute density and gamma corrections with high accuracy by providing a balance adjusting means of a color component signal, a gamma correcting means, a parameter setting means related to said correction means, and a means which processes a picture independent of the adjusting means and the correcting means and displays a transition of the processing. CONSTITUTION:Image memories 16-18 and a color conversion table are stored in an input signal processing part 9. The titled device are provided with a table memory 12, look-up tables 20-22 which convert and output data in respective color components inputted at the time of color conversion processing, an I/O 24 from the display device to display the transition of picture processing, an I/O 13 for setting parameter and selecting the table from outside, and an image processor 15 to control the conversion of data in respective color components. For color-match processing, the device selects the optimum table from the memory 12 to store in the tables 20-22, monitors the transition of the picture under processing by a display device. Then, it stores a table concerned in the gamma correction in the tables 20-22 from the memory 12 for gamma correction, monitors a picture transition in a similar way and forms a final picture.
