Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a high speed and highly accurate color separation signal by preventing a color mixture signal or a signal which is not color-separated that are generated at the time of switching color separation filters from getting incident on a image pickup element to be mentioned. CONSTITUTION:In a means to directly control a light source 3 for illumination and a means to use a light shutter, the light source 3 for illumination is turned out fitting to the timing of the switching of color filters 5 or the light shutter is made to operate and control-driven so as to interrupt light incident on a image pickup element 6. In a means to provide an interrupting area for the turning point of the color filters 5, constitution is executed in the sequence of a first color filter, the interrupting area and a second color filter so that the two types of the color filters 5 is not simultaneously over the photoelectric converting face of the image pickup element 6. Thus, color mixture and unnecessary components which are not color-separated that degrade the color separation accuracy of a reading signal hitherto can be removed and a signal with high speed and high color separation accuracy can be obtained.
