To provide a small-sized color printer the ink ribbon of which is easily replaceable and the printing cost per printing sheet of which is low and to provide its ink ribbon.

The color printer comprises a Y head 2, an M head 9, a C head 16, platen rollers 8, 15, 22, and a multi-time ink ribbon 23 having yellow ink 23y, magenta ink 23m and cyan ink 23C of ink effective length B repeatedly applied to a base material 23o at a pitch P. When the L1 line and the one edge 23ya of the ink 23y of the sheet 1 are disposed on a broken line y1, yellow is printed by the head 2. When the L1 line and one edge 23ma of the ink 23m of the sheet 1 are disposed on a broken line y2, magenta is printed by the head 9. When the L1 line and the one edge 23ca of the ink 23c of the sheet 1 are disposed on a broken line y3, the cyan is printed by the head 16.
