Abstract:
PURPOSE: To distribute a paving material optionally into two screeds linked in series and transfer the material.
CONSTITUTION: Three kinds of gates 20, 30, 40 are installed close to a bar feeder 9 transferring a paving material 6, in further front side than the front screed 3. A vertically moving perpendicular gate 20 adjusts the gross quantity of the paving material 6. An opening 31 is opened at the transfer face of the bar feeder 9 and a lower gate with a hole 38 is opened or closed. A ladder gate 40 is equipped above the lower gate so as to freely swing to cover the hole 38 at the fully opened position. When the lower gate is completely opened, the total volume of the paving material is discharged from the opening and fed to the screed 3. When the lower gate is shut and the angle of the ladder gate is adjusted, the discharging volume of the paving material from the hole 38 and the transferred volume thereof can be specified.
