PURPOSE: The titled composition that is prepared by adding specific amounts of salts of K, Mg and other metals, sugar alcohol or phosphate salts to a water- soluble polysaccharide, thus showing the same viscoelasticity and fiber-forming properties as "TABU" powder (a powder made from barks and leaves of TABU tree) and improving the defects of "TABU" powder in mechanical shear stability and temperature stability.
CONSTITUTION: The objective composition for incense stick binder is prepared by adding 0.001W50wt% of an inorganic or organic salt of K, Mg, Ca, Ba, Mn, Fe, Ni, Cu, Zn, B, Al or Si such as calcium carbonate or barium sulfate and 0.001W50wt% of at least one selected from sugar alcohols such as glycerol or pentaerythritol and phosphate salts such as sodium hexametaphosphate or potassium pyrophosphate to a water-soluble polysaccharide such an anionic or nonionic gum arabic or sodium alginate.
