Abstract:
To provide a novel xanthene-based compound that is useful as a color material of an ink and excellent in optical density and light resistance, and has preferable hue in a magenta region to a red region.
A compound represented by the following general formula (1) (wherein R1,R5,R6 and R10 each independently represent an alkyl group; R3 and R8 each independently represent an alkyl group and the like; R2,,R4,,R7 and R9 each independently represent a hydrogen atom and the like; M represents a hydrogen atom and the like; any one of R12 to R21 represents a hydroxy group and the others represent a hydrogen atom) is provided.
