To quickly stop a vehicle by taking into consideration a change in engine friction due to mixing of fuel in engine oil.
An engine ECU executes a program including steps of: estimating the amount of mixed fuel in the engine oil (S100); calculating a driving force reduction required amount taking into consideration the driving force increase amount due to friction reduction (S200); calculating a required delay amount from a reduction required torque converged from the driving force reduction required amount (S300); and during braking of the vehicle (YES at S400), reducing torque outputted from the engine by only the reduction required torque amount by delaying an ignition timing taking into consideration delay guard of the ignition timing (S600).
