Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of an internal combustion engine which can reduce a power consumption rate without excessively increasing a generation frequency of knocking.SOLUTION: A control device of an internal combustion engine acquires a first correlation value correlated to knocking intensity, increases an ignition timing retardation amount when the first correlation value is not smaller than a threshold, and decreases the ignition timing retardation amount when the first correlation value is smaller than the threshold. The control device sets a value which is obtained by retarding reference ignition timing by an ignition timing retardation amount. Furthermore, the control device acquires a second correlation value correlated to a knocking generation frequency, increases the threshold when the second correlation value is not larger than a first allowance in the case that the ignition timing retardation amount is larger than a prescribed value, and when the ignition timing retardation amount is not larger than the prescribed value, holds a value of the threshold without increasing the threshold even if the second correlation value is not larger than a second allowance.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
