This conveyor conveys recording paper along a conveyance passage, and includes air blowout holes 111a arranged on the upstream side of a pair of register rollers 120 for controlling the timing for conveying the recording paper to the downstream side, a width guide plate 112 for regulating a width in the orthogonal direction of the conveyance direction, and rollers 115 arranged in positions to be brought into contact with the recording paper against which air blows, the rollers 115 adding a force toward at least the width guide plate 112 to the recording paper in contact with the rollers 115 when driven by motors 113. When conveying the recording paper along the conveyance passage, the recording paper is brought into contact with the rollers 115 by the air blowing from the air blowout holes 111a, and the recording paper is pushed against the width guide plate 112 by adding the force to the recording paper toward the width guide plate 112 by the rollers 115, thereby moving the recording paper in advance to a position determined by the width guide plate 112.
