Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a production method capable of uniformly chlorinating polyisoprene-based rubber particles dispersed in an aqueous medium without coagulating them and of producing the subject chlorinated rubber excellent in solubility in an organic solvent.
CONSTITUTION: In the objective method for producing a chlorinated rubber by reacting gaseous chloride with a polyisoprene-based rubber, chlorination is characteristically carried out by blowing gaseous chlorine into a strongly acidic aqueous dispersion of the polyisoprene-based rubber.
