Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a pharmaceutical composition having excellent delivery characteristics, capable of reducing systemic resorption and the side effect accompanied thereby, and used for pulmonary administration effective in treatment of respiratory tract or lung disease, especially inflammatory or occlusive respiratory tract disease.
CONSTITUTION: This pharmaceutical composition for pulmonary administration effective in treatment of respiratory tract or lung disease or symptom thereof, especially inflammatory or occlusive respiratory tract disease, e.g. asthma, includes an effective amount of CY-A/X-III [not solvated orthorhombic (P212121) crystalline cyclosporin]. Further, the pharmaceutical composition includes the CY-A/X-III as an active ingredient in a form of, preferably, a dried particle form or a particle form distributed or dispersed in a solid or liquid diluent or carrier capable of administered to the lung, and preferably the particle has ≤10μm, preferably 5μm, especially 1-5μm AMMPS(aerodynamical mass middle particle size). Further, the particle existing in a form of the particle form, more preferably, includes natural CY-A/X-III.
