Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of detecting, with a simple configuration, whether the state of a steel damper attached to a structure in which an upper structure is mounted on a lower structure via a bearing changes.SOLUTION: One end of a friction damper 5 is attached on the lower structure side of a structure, and the other end is attached on the upper structure side. In the structure, the upper structure is mounted on the lower structure via a bearing. A strain sensor 13a is attached to an inner cylinder 6 from which the friction damper 5 receives an axial stress. On the basis of the output from the strain sensor 13a, a sensor unit 13 detects whether the state of the friction damper 5 changes.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
