PURPOSE: To provide a data imprinting device capable of distinctly imprinting data at low cost as a data imprinting device suitable for a camera capable of switching a picture size to a standard size or a panoramic size.

CONSTITUTION: A transmission type liquid crystal display body 50 where an imprinted character string for standard photographing 51a and an imprinted character string for panoramic photographing 51b are arranged in parallel is used, and in the case of photographing in the standard size, the character string 51a is irradiated with light by a data imprinting optical system for standard size 90. In the case of photographing in the panoramic size, the character string 51b is irradiated by an optical system for panoramic size 70. By providing two character strings 51a and 51b in one display body 50, the device whose number of parts is reduced and which is suitable for mass-production is provided. An intermediate seal can be provided between the character strings 51a and 51b on the display body 50, whereby a cell gap is kept to be uniform and the data is more distinctly imprinted.
