PURPOSE: To make a destaticization device inexpensive and small-sized so that it can be installed to a compact copying machine by providing a resistor for restricting a current in every block of light emitting diode which is previously divided.
CONSTITUTION: For example, the light emitting diodes L1, L2 and L27, L28 of the blocks 1a and 1b are turned on in the case of B4 size and the light emitting diodes L1 - L5 and L24 -L28 of the blocks 1a, 2a and 1b, 2b are turned on in the case of A4 size. Then, one or more light emitting diodes Ln of respective blocks 1a - 5c and one resistor for restricting a current Rn are serially connected to one among the output terminals D1 - D5 of a driving IC 22 and turned on or off every block in a lump. Since the destaticization device is constituted in such a way, it is easily manufactured and made inexpensive and compact.
