Abstract:
To provide a device and a method for suppressing creation of a high-melting point piping block substance by promoting hydrolysis of an isocyanic acid and a cyanic acid and reducing a creation amount of a cyanuric acid.SOLUTION: A device for suppressing creation of a high-melting point piping block substance is configured so that a urea water supply pipe 6 for supplying pressurized air and urea water is inserted into piping in which an exhaust gas flows, a urea water spray nozzle 7 is connected to the vicinity of a tip of the urea water supply pipe 6, a mixing part 8 in which the exhaust gas flowing in the piping and spray urea water sprayed from the urea water spray nozzle 7 are mixed is provided, a metal sheet 9 is circumferentially arranged in a band shape entirely or partially at an inner wall face of the piping at a circumference of the mixing part 8, an ammonia is created by promoting hydrolysis of an isocyanic acid (HN=C=O) and a cyanic acid (HOCN) by making the sprayed urea water contact an inner face of the metal sheet 9, a hydrolytic catalyst layer 10 for reducing a creation amount of the cyanuric acid is formed, and a hydrolytic catalyst of the hydrolytic catalyst layer 10 is an Al2O3 catalyst, or an aluminum silicate oxide.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
