To provide a pressure measurement device preventing biological pollution and requiring no calibration between respective operations.
This device 10 for performing immersion measurement of fluid pressure is provided with a disposable housing 12 having a fluid contact area 14 and a fluid noncontact area 16. A disposable diaphragm 18 in a nonelastic condition substantially is arranged inside the housing for separating the fluid contact area 14 from the fluid noncontact area 16. One side face 17 of the diaphragm 18 is brought into contact with fluid, and the diaphragm is provided with flexibility sufficient for moving by a predetermined distance in the axial direction within the fluid noncontact area in response to contact with the fluid. The predetermined distance is substantially proportional to the fluid pressure. An electronic detector 22 is attached movably in the housing 12 adjacently to the fluid noncontact area 16 and separated from the diaphragm 18. The electronic detector can determine the fluid pressure.
