PURPOSE: To obtain a small-sized and silent device without need for a large-capacity high-pressure pump and reduced in water leakage by supplying a mixture of the concd. water obtained in an RO module and the concd. water supplied from a high-pressure pump to the module with a pressure pump.
CONSTITUTION: The raw water softened and treated with activated carbon is stored in a first storage tank 1. The raw water is sucked by a high-pressure pump 2 and sent to a pressure pump 3 under high pressure. At this time, the concd. water from a recycling pipe 5 is joined to the raw water and sent to the pressure pump 3. The liq. pressure applied to the pressure pump 3 is substantially equalized to the liq. pressure of the raw water discharged from the high-pressure pump 2. The raw water from the high-pressure pump 2 and the concd. water from the recycling pipe 5 are totally discharged in the RO module 4 as raw water by the pressure pump 3. The flow rate and pressure of the raw water at this time are determined by the flow velocity of the raw water determined so that precipitate is not deposited in the module 4. Consequently, the number of the modules to be used is reduced, the pipeline joints are decreased, the frequency of water leakage is reduced, and the device itself is diminished in size.
