Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital temperature compensated oscillator which has a high resolution and prevents an output frequency from being varied by long-term deterioration or a temperature drift.SOLUTION: The digital temperature compensated oscillator includes: a voltage controlled oscillator 1 in which a first oscillation frequency is generated and an oscillation signal capable of controlling the first oscillation frequency by means of a control voltage is generated; a thermosensitive oscillator 2 for generating a second oscillation frequency with the rate of change greater than that of the first oscillation frequency with respect to an environmental temperature change; a temperature digital data generation section 3 for generating an environmental temperature in comparison as temperature digital data from digital information that is obtained by comparing the first oscillation frequency with the second oscillation frequency; a temperature compensation circuit 4 which generates temperature compensation digital data for compensating the change of the first oscillation frequency relative to the environmental temperature on the basis of the temperature digital data; and a D/A converter 7 formed from a ΔΣ modulator 5 and a passive multi-stage LPF 6 for converting the temperature compensation digital data into an analog control voltage.
