PURPOSE: To provide the direct positive color photographic sensitive material capable of reducing fluctuations of the maximum density of a color developed image in a red-sensitive layer due to a green-sensitive layer and the minimum density of a color developed image in the green-sensitive layer.
CONSTITUTION: The photosensitive material has each of blue-, green-, and red- sensitive emulsion layers each containing internal latent image type silver halide grains and a nonphotosensitive layer adjacent to the photosensitive layer on a support and the green-sensitive layer contains a sensitizing dye represented by the formula and having a sensitivity to light in 550nm wavelength higher by ≥LogE 0.8 than that of the red-sensitive layer in the same wavelength, and the photosensitive material has no yellow filter layer containing colloidal silver as the nonphotosensitive layer. In the formula, each of V11 V14 is H or an electron withdrawing group and 2 of them are the electron withdrawing groups; each of R11-R14 is ≤10 C optionally substituted alkyl or alkenyl and one of them has sulfo or carboxy; X is a counter ion; and l is 0 or 1, and when an intramolecular salt is formed, l is 0.
