To provide a dispenser capable of precisely detecting a pipette tip using a light emitting element and a light detection element.
A detection sensor is composed of the LED 82 and the photodiode 84 both of which are installed at the mutually opposed positions so as to hold the mounting position of the pipette tip of a plurality of dispensing pipes 20A of a X- and Z-dimensionally movable dispensing head 20 which keeps the pipette tip installed on its leading end in a detachable manner and is provided with a plurality of the dispensing pipes 20A capable of sucking and discharging a liquid. The distance between the mounting positions of the LED 82 and pipette tip of the detection sensor is set to half or below the distance between the LED 82 and the photodiode 84.
