Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device with which it is possible to detect a fault and notify a system side about it.SOLUTION: A display device according to the present invention comprises a liquid crystal panel 4 in which a plurality of wirings are formed, and a source driver 9 for supplying a voltage to each wiring. The source driver 9 is provided with a current detection circuit 14 for detecting a current flowing in each wiring at a time when a voltage is supplied, a memory 15 for storing the value of a current detected by the current detection circuit 14 when the liquid crystal panel 4 is operating normally as a reference current value, and a comparison unit 16 for comparing the value of the current detected by the current detection circuit 14 with the reference current value stored in the memory 15.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
