Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide a display device which is capable of performing a color display of symbols in various different patterns by easily switching screens even in a limited region and has a simple structure.SOLUTION: In a display device 1 which displays plural kinds of symbol patterns made up of various symbols by switching luminous colors, the display device 1 has: an LCD 3 with a transmission region which transmits light from a light source 4 regardless of a kind of a wavelength; and a control section which forms an interlinked illumination chamber by switching the luminous colors of the light source 4 in each illumination chamber 22 and allows the interlinked illumination chamber to be changed in accordance with the plural kinds of symbol pattern displays, thereby enabling the plural kinds of color image displays to be switched on the LCD 3.
