An image acquired by continuous imaging according to a time axis by using an encapsulated endoscope is correlated with the imaging position and made into a database. The left side of a display screen 38 of a monitor device 21 displays an in-examiner model 26, a passing track 37 of the encapsulated endoscope 3, and a position mark 39 indicating the imaging position. An image 42 corresponding to the position of the position mark 39 is displayed at an image display area 41 at the right side. When the position mark 39 on the passing track 37 is specified by a mouse, a corresponding image 42 is displayed. It is also possible to specify a section and display the image 42 corresponding to the position mark 39 only for the section or to specify the position mark 39 where a special image is picked up.
