PURPOSE: To form an edge cutter for continuous form paper generating no paper jamming in an edge cutting part by setting the peripheral speed of a circular blade rotated in the feed direction of the continuous form paper so as to make the same faster than the feed speed of a feed means.
CONSTITUTION: Continuous form paper P has edge parts (p) having feed holes pa arranged thereto along both left and right side edges thereof and, since the edge parts (p) become unnecessary after printing, the edge parts (p) are cut after the completion of printing. Since the edge parts (p) are provided to both side edges of the continuous form paper P, a pair of attaching plates 1 are erected from the attaching plates of a printer toward the positions opposed to both edge parts (p) of the continuous form paper P. Slitters A each constituted by parallelly arranging a pair of a fixed blade and a circular blade 3 so as to come into contact with the continuous form paper P in the lateral direction thereof are arranged inside a pair of the attaching plates 1. Since the peripheral speed of the circular blade 3 due to a rotary drive means B is set so as to be higher than the feed speed of the continuous form paper P due to a feed means C, the shearing of the edge parts (p) becomes faster than the feed of the continuous form paper P and the paper jamming in the edge cutting parts of the slitters A can be avoided.
