Title:
ELECTRIC POWER-LINE CARRIER COMMUNICATION DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3184119
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit signals excluding the frequency band in a short circuit state with its impedance '0' by performing the communication only in the communication enable areas and excluding the communication unable frequency area of the electric power-line impedance among all frequency bands which are used in the electric power-like carrier communication.
SOLUTION: A transmitter side device controls a VCXO 302 from a CPU 20 via a linear sweep frequency generation part 30 and a voltage control circuit 301 and outputs the linear sweep frequency of 10 to 450 kHz to an electric power-line via an LPF 105 and an AC.I/F 106. A receiver side device receives the linear sweep frequency via the AC.I/F 106 to divide it by the matching filters 502-1 to 502-5 via a BPF 501 of an impedance frequency characteristic detection part 50 and outputs a reactive pulse in response to the corresponding linear sweep frequency. When the electric power-line impedance is set at 280 kHz or higher in a short circuit state, for example, the corresponding matching filters 502-4 and 502-5 output no reactive pulses to the distorted waveforms. Thus, the information data showing a short circuit are obtained.
