Abstract:
To realize a structure of an electric power steering device capable of downsizing a housing in an assist mechanism part and improving mountability to a vehicle.SOLUTION: A housing 7 has: a pinion housing part 16 housing at least a tip half part 73 of a pinion shaft 13; and a gear housing part 17 housing a worm wheel 50 and a worm shaft 51 respectively. The gear housing part 17 is composed separately from the pinion housing part 16 and fixed to the pinion housing part 16. The pinion shaft 13 is freely rotatably supported by bearings 21, 22 with respect to the pinion housing part 16 without freely rotatably supported with respect to the gear housing part 17. The worm shaft 51 is freely rotatably supported with respect to the gear housing part 17.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
