To reduce a power source higher harmonic current, improve the power factor, reduce the number of components and circuit scale, and realize miniaturization and low cost, by using in common a rectifier circuit and a booster chopper circuit by a power convertor and an electric power storage.
In a regular operation, a rectifier circuit 105 converts AC power of a power source 101 to DC power, and a booster chopper circuit 106 restrains a power source higher harmonic current, improves the power factor, boosts an output voltage and stabilizes the output power of a load 104 to the demand change. In the power storage operation, the rectifier circuit 105 converts AC power of the power source 101 to DC power, and the booster chopper circuit 106 restrains a power source higher harmonic current, improves the power factor, boosts an output voltage and controls the input power of an electric power storage 103. The electric power storage 103 stores electric power by receiving the DC current. In the discharging operation, DC power stored in the electric power storage 103 is supplied to the input of the booster chopper circuit 106, which boosts and stabilizes the voltage of the DC power.
