PURPOSE: To obtain an electronic time piece with a memory function which allows the inputting of characters or the like by a simple operation with reduction in the area of a display section by displaying characters or the like once inputted into an RAM with a touch sensor provided on the display section.

CONSTITUTION: Touch sensors made up of a transparent electrode 9 or the like for each of matrix dot character indications 7 provided a liquid crystal display 6 enabling the indication of characters or the like in a dot matrix. An output is inputted into an RAM through a corresponding touch sensor upon the selection of characters or the like with one touch sensor and indicated on the delay 6. This provides an electronic time piece with a memory function which enables the inputting of characters or the like by a simple operation without reducing the area of the display section as compared with the case of a keyboard input section being provided separated from the display section.
