To provide an electrophotographic carrier which obviates the occurrence of peeling of a coating resin film of the carrier without the occurrence of a spent phenomenon on the carrier surface even when a low-temperature fixing toner containing a large amount of wax is used, does not give rise to a change in image characteristics in spite of repetitive and continuous use for a number of sheets, maintains a sufficient image density and can obtain images little in surface fogging and an electrophotographic two-component developer using the same.
The electrophotographic carrier is formed by coating flat core particles with a resin film of 10 to 30 dyne/cm in surface tension. Also, the electrophotographic two-component developer is prepared by using the electrophotographic toner containing at least a binder resin, a colorant, and a low melting point wax having a melting point 60 to 105°C and the electrophotographic carrier formed by coating the flat core particles with the resin film of 10 to 30 dyne/cm in surface tension.
